Indoor Air Pollution In California (Draft Report in PDF)
The Governor signed Assembly Bill 1173 (Keeley) into law in September, 2002. This bill requires the Air Resources Board to compile a comprehensive report on indoor air pollution, including information on the health effects and sources of indoor pollutants; the effects of existing regulations and industry practices; and possible mitigation options for homes, schools and non-industrial workplaces. The report will undergo external scientific peer review as well as public review. AB 1173 is incorporated into the Health and Safety Code as Section 39930.
A public workshop was held July 27, 2004 in Sacramento, California to discuss ARB's draft Report on Indoor Air Pollution. Materials from that workshop, including a video recording of the workshop, are available at:
